DGL Synergy from Designs for Health is a fast-acting, pleasant-tasting, chewable formula of deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL), which offers support for the entire gastrointestinal system, but specifically its mucosal lining. It contains a synergistic blend of a standardized, high-quality form of DGL, the amino acid glycine, and calcium in the form of calcium glycerophosphate. In some individuals, glycyrrhizin has been associated with negative side effects on blood pressure; however, these effects are eliminated when the glycyrrhizin is removed.
